Sara Rosett

Sara Rosett.Author Sara Rosett was interviewed for BookCast by Fairfax County Public Library Director Sam Clay.

Sara Rosett is the author of four books in her Mom Zone mystery series that features military spouse turned detective Ellie Avery.

In her most recent book Magnolias, Moonlight and Murder, military wife, mom, and professional organizer Ellie Avery is settling her family into their new home in Georgia. During an evening walk, she stumbles into an abandoned graveyard disturbed by flooding from a recent storm. It's a chilling enough setting without the shocking sight of two dead bodies . . . unearthed from the same grave.

Rosett, an English major, graduated summa cum laude from Texas Tech. As an Air Force pilot’s spouse, she has lived in central and southern California, Texas, Washington state, Alabama, Oklahoma, Georgia, Maryland and Virginia. Rosett has worked as a credit processor, a staff reporter for two Air Force base newspapers, and a researcher and writer for the Citizen Ambassador Program of People to People International.

After surviving 10 moves as a military spouse, Rosett decided to use her experience as background for her mystery series featuring a military spouse. The first book in the series, Moving is Murder, was a Reader's Choice Award Nominee in 2007 at the Salt Lake County Library and received a Distinguished Honor Award from the Military Writers Society of America. Sara's essays have also appeared in Chicken Soup for the Military Wife's Soul. Until her next move, Sara resides in Virginia with her family.
