Bill Farrell was interviewed for BookCast by Fairfax County Public Library Director Sam Clay.
Local resident Bill Farrell is the author of Walter’s Pond: The True Story of Three Brothers Who Went Fishing for Trouble, an early reader in verse.
Walter’s Pond is the first in a series of books based on true stories about a large family in rural Connecticut each with a lesson to be learned. Other planned titles include: My First Home Run, Ahhhhhh Stew, The Chocolate Easter Bunny Rabbit, and Dead Man’s Curve.
Farrell is the third of 11 children who grew up in the 1950s and 60s in rural Connecticut where he and his siblings enjoyed the outdoor life.
Farrell spent 30 years as an executive in information technology before retiring and becoming a writer. He lives in Vienna, Virginia with his wife, the youngest of his daughters, and two Jack Russell Terriers.
