Pamela Duncan Edwards
Popular children’s author Pamela Duncan Edwards was interviewed for BookCast by Fairfax County Public Library Director Sam Clay.
Edwards, a former school librarian and preschool teacher, is the author of more than 45 children’s picture books including The Old House, O Is for Old Dominion: A Virginia Alphabet and The Mixed-Up Rooster. She collaborates with various illustrators.
She grew up in northern England, where she inherited her love of children’s literature from her father, also a children’s author. Edwards taught preschool for 11 years in England and became a children’s librarian when she came to the U.S. 25 years ago. She has devoted herself to writing since the early 1990s.
