FY2014 Budget Hearings Approaching
Support your library!
Join us at 3:00 pm on April 11th in the Board Auditorium of the Government Center as we advocate for public funding for the library during Fairfax County’s Public Hearing on the FY2014 Budget. Chair of the Fairfax County Public Library Board of Trustees, Willard O. Jasper, will be speaking in support of public funding for the library, as well as Lieutenant Colonel Richard T. Brady, Chair of the Fairfax Library Foundation Board of Directors. Residents and library advocates will be joining together to show their support for the library during these two presentations.
County Executive, Edward Long Jr., revealed his proposal for the FY2014 County Budget on Tuesday, February 26th. Residents and community members interested in the FY2014 proposed budget and how it will affect the library, as well as the County Executive’s recommendations, can read more on the Department of Management and Budget’s website.
We hope you will join us on April 11th in showing tremendous public support for the library!
