Ric is founder of the Edelman Center for Personal Finance Education,
a nonprofit organization. He also serves as a member of the Board
of the United Way of the National Capital Area and the Boys & Girls
Clubs of Greater Washington, D.C. Ric also is a full partner of the
American Savings Education Council and the Jump$tart Coalition for
Personal Financial Literacy. He is a former board member of Junior
Achievement of the National Capital Area and served for three years
on the Grants Committee of the Foundation for Financial Planning,
where he remains a major donor. Ric and his wife Jean also support
the INOVA Hospital Foundation, Northern Virginia Family Service,
Wolf Trap Foundation, Rowan University, The Leukemia Lymphoma Society,
and many other charities.
