Gift from your IRA

A gift from your IRA saves time and money in three ways:

  1. Your adjusted gross income will be reduced because of this charitable donation.
  2. The direct transfer to the charity can satisfy your required minimum annual distribution.
  3. You can enjoy giving now while being able to witness the benefits of your generosity.

To make a charitable gift from your IRA, use these easy steps:

  1. Contact your financial planner who can help you complete a form letter (see sample below).
  2. Send original letter to your IRA custodian.
  3. Send a copy of the letter to the Fairfax County Public Library Foundation.
  4. Contact the Library Foundation office if you have any questions. 703-324-3180 (fax) or by .
