Due to the proposed public budget cuts for the library, combined with an over fifteen percent increase in library services and programs last year alone and ever-changing technological standards, we are turning to the business community to invest in the library by donating to the Fairfax Library Foundation. The Foundation supports the library by directly funding important initiatives such as Early Literacy Outreach, Changing Lives Through Literature, Scholarships, Author Presentations and Programs (including the popular Summer Reading Program), and eBooks and non-print materials which make Fairfax County Public Library one of the best library systems in the nation. We need your help.
A gift to Fairfax Library Foundation is a sound business investment which also improves the quality of life of the Fairfax community. The library provides the location and the resources for your current and future employees to find a job, study, self-educate, and acquire necessary skills to advance in the workforce. With Wi-Fi in every branch many small business owners are using the library to cut their overhead.
The library also provides the tools and location for enjoyment, where the community can retreat to enjoy books and programs at their leisure.
