Mary Myers is the Director of the Inova Alexandria Hospital Foundation, which raises private donations for the Hospital’s programs and services. Prior to joining the Hospital Foundation in September of 2006, Ms. Myers was vice president of The Campagna Center, Alexandria’s largest nonprofit organization dedicated to the developmental and educational well-being of children and their families. Her primary responsibilities with The Center included fund raising, communications and strategic planning.

Ms. Myers is the former director of development at George Washington’s Mount Vernon. She moved to the area to work with the National Trust for Historic Preservation in Washington, D.C. where she worked for thirteen years, creating their major gifts program, as well as fund raising for the Trust’s historic properties. Ms. Myers began her career in fund raising at her alma mater, Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, returning to head up the Annual Fund and later as assistant director of development.

Ms. Myers serves on the boards of the Women’s Giving Circle of Alexandria, Goodwin House and the Fairfax Library Foundation.

She is married to Kent Myers and has one daughter age 7. The family lives in Alexandria’s Fairfax County outside Mount Vernon
