Louise L. Meade retired in 2002 as Emergency Services Director for Good Shepherd Housing and Family Services (a non-profit homeless prevention organization). She is presently serving as a consultant and volunteer in this organization.

Louise's current community activities include Board of Directors, Mt. Vernon Branch of American Association of University Women; League of Women Voters of the Fairfax Area; Emeritus member of the Fairfax Library Foundation Board of Directors.

Louise received her B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University.

Louise is married with 4 adult children and is a 42 year resident of Mt. Vernon community.
